Karen has led a specialized nursing team in post-discharge follow-up of extremely premature babies beyond the neonatal intensive care unit. Her experience, compassion, and dedication to preemies and parents make her a leading expert in the neonatal journey. Tammy Sherrow (right), RN MN During her 35 years as a nurse, Tammy has focused on the premature population, both in the NICU and in the community, as a staff nurse, educator, manager, and researcher. Tammy worked with a specialized neonatal team following very low birth weight preemies post discharge and knows firsthand the challenges they can face, especially during that first year.
